Depending on how much work your arcade cabinet is in need of, it can feel overwhelming to get started. I’m a big fan of celebrating small wins, and so we are starting with the light in the marquee.
Luckily, all it took was a light bulb! We both agreed that we prefer the feel of traditional incandesent lighting, and so opted to stay with the original hardware.
It’s most effective in the low lighting of a typical arcade environment, but it really had an impact on how the game felt in the space. Both of us were giggly just looking at it. I still have plans to replace the marquee art as the pink is entirely faded and I’d love to see the colors as it looked directly from the factory.
